About us

Our story

How an advocate's practice in Lahore grew into an organization serving needy families across Pakistan.

It began with the cases nobody would take

Justice and Care Welfare Organization was founded in Lahore in 2024 by an advocate of the University of the Punjab (M.A, LL.B) who kept meeting the same person in different faces: someone with a rightful claim and no money to pursue it. A tenant. A widow. A prisoner whose family could not afford a lawyer.

Legal aid alone was not enough. The families who needed a lawyer also needed a doctor, a school, a job and — too often — the next meal. So the organization was built around all five needs at once.

Today, Justice and Care Welfare Organization advocates for human rights, provides medical care, empowers through education, creates job opportunities, and supports vulnerable communities with food in Pakistan.

Our seal

What the emblem stands for

Every element of our seal is a promise:

  • The scales of justice — free, fearless advocacy for those denied their rights.
  • The open book — education as the surest path out of poverty.
  • The caring hands — welfare that carries a family until it can stand.

Justice and care — the two words are our name because neither works without the other.

Why families trust us

Three commitments

I.

Advocacy

We stand up in court and in the community for people whose rights are ignored because they are poor. Our founding cause is legal support for innocent prisoners.

II.

Empowerment

We prefer to build independence, not dependence — education for children and free skills training for adults, so help received today becomes income earned tomorrow.

III.

Community support

Food, medical care and a door that is always open. We are from the neighborhoods we serve, and our office-bearers are named and reachable.

In their words

Voices from the people we serve

— Shahbaz Shah, skills training participant

"Justice and Care Welfare Organization has been a beacon of hope for my family."

— Sultana Mahmood

"When no one else listened, they took our case and stood beside us until the end."

— Akram Mujeeb
